BC2   SOLD
wt = 9.1 grams, 33mm long, 12mm wide.
This cylindrical type (above and left) did not form into the usual boat core for this primary shape probably due to unstable flight.
It may have had a collision as it entered the atmosphere (it has a couple of deeper 'dents') sending it into a wobble or spin   forming a complicated pattern of flow ridges and scallopping.
Good condition  $120US

BL1

This is a small boat lens slightly tending to a dumbell shape. It has a peculiar etched surface with spherical grooving.

OC2 SOLD

This is a large oval core which shows the typical clearly defined ridge on one side (above) but on the other side the ridge has 'slipped' to appear on the 'bottom' (see photo left) due to a rotation during flight. Also peculiar  'scratch marks', across the top may have been due to rotation in flight or maybe this one was carried and used by aboriginies?  These large tektites were often carried by aborigines as sacred objects.
Good condition - no chips.
wt = 27. 6 gms

45mm long x 26mm wide x 17mm deep

$150US

Above and left , five views of  a classic round core indicator with parts of the stress shell still remaining demonstrating how the core shapes were formed by spallation (flaking) as opposed to the flanged types where the tektite glass melted and flowed forming flow ridges and flanges.
This is a nice specimen for a collection

wt = 9. 3 gms
22mm x 15mm

$75US SOLD
